How it works

Every month we’ll select a classic album on vinyl and pair it with a book about the album, the band, the genre or the history around it. We'll carefully wrap both and deliver them, along with a bar of Tony's Chocolonely.

Three vinyl records and three paperbacks delivered over three months, each accompanied by a bar of Tony's Chocolonely.  

6 months

Six vinyl records and six paperbacks delivered over six months, each accompanied by a bar of Tony's Chocolonely. Plus you'll receive one of our Portishead Soul tote bags (made from recycled plastic) in your first month.

12 months

Twelve vinyl records twelve paperbacks delivered over twelve months, each accompanied by a bar of Tony's Chocolonely. Plus you'll receive one of our Portishead Soul tote bags (made from recycled plastic) in your first month.

FAQs

How do you choose the books and records each month?

We look at any notes you've given us about your musical preferences and your order history (what we've sent your before), then choose a book and record we think you'll love. 

When will I receive my book and record each month?

We post all the subscriptions on the 1st of each month and they should be with you by the 5th.

The cut-off date for new subscriptions is the 15th of the month e.g. if you sign up for a subscription before the 15th January then we'll post your first subscription on 1st February, if you sign up after 15th January we'll post your first subscription on 1st March. 

What happens if I already have the book or album you've sent me?

Contact us within a week of receiving it and we'll arrange to send you a replacement. You will be responsible for returning the unwanted book and/or record back to us in mint condition, either by post or by dropping them off at one of our shops (in Portishead or Henleaze, Bristol).

What happens if I don't like the book or album you've sent me?

As above, contact us within a week of receiving it and we'll arrange to send you a replacement. You will be responsible for returning the unwanted book and/or record back to us in mint condition, either by post or by dropping them off at one of our shops (in Portishead or Henleaze, Bristol).

What if I want to buy the subscription as a present?

During the check-out process you'll see a button - "Add a note to your order". Click this and enter the name and address you'd like the music bundle sent to each month, and the month you'd like the subscription to start. If you have any suggestions for what types of music the recipient of your kind gift likes and doesn't like please add these notes within the same field.

If you'd like a gift card to give to the recipient you can either download the gift card image from the gallery on the left (right click on the image and select Save Image) or tell us that you'd like one and we'll post a card to you.
